The concept of virtual reality are now used for many of the elements of reality, including the computer. The article discusses the phenomenon of emergence of the Internet as a consequence of technological revolution, which has had enormous influence on the development of the modern world community; presents two points of view on the ratio (artificial) of cyberspace and real. The conclusion is that virtual reality formed the new information technologies have contributed to the creation of the network society.

В последние годы развитие информационных технологий позволило
создать технические и психологические феномены, которые в популярной и
научной литературе получили название «киберпространство». В зарубежной
гуманитарной литературе понятие «виртуальная реальность» употребляется в
широком и узком смыслах слова. В первом значении виртуальное
отождествляется со сферой воображаемого. Во втором смысле виртуальное
связано с миром, моделированным с помощью технических средств, в первую
очередь компьютерам^ 1. С.366.]. Обычно виртуальная реальность, созданная с
помощью компьютерной технологии, называется киберпространством [2. С.
51-52.].
